    Questions

Do I need any tap/dance experience to take part?

No!  All you need is an enjoyment for music and moving your body.  The class is a mixture of basic tap steps and aerobic dance. All routines are taught to you and practised over several weeks.

    Do I need to book?

Yes, classes can get busy, there is a number limit to classes.   To ensure a comfortable dance space and to avoid queues before the class starts, DanceRS has introduced an online booking system to ensure your place.  Classes can be booked through the website or through the link https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/1787

Can I wear my tap shoes?

Trainers are recommended with the non-slip feet beats.  The class is a mixture of basic tap and modern dance moves.  Traditional tap shoes are not designed for the fitness element of the class.

How much does a class cost?

All studio classes are £5 per person.

Payment can be made either through the online booking system or by cash. For cash, please select the ‘Pay at the Door’ option on the GymCatch booking.

You can purchase 10 classes for £45.  These 10 sessions can be booked and used within a year.

    Questions

Do I need to buy any kind of specialist equipment?

No, I provide the ‘feet beats’ and arm toners.  The feet beats go round the base of any hard, flat shoe and come in 3 different sizes.

When you enter the class, you collect your feet beats (in coloured bags) and your arm toner.

Small (pink bag) = UK size 3 and below.  Medium  (grey bag)= UK size 4 and 5.  Large (blue bag) = 6 and above.

All equipment is cleaned before class.

What do I wear to class?

Come along in normal workout clothes and trainers.

A towel and bottle of water is also recommended.  It can get very hot and sweaty!

I have 2 left feet and my fitness levels are terrible. Will I struggle?

The classes are relaxed and you are encouraged to dance at own level.   The aim is to get moving and feel good!  After a few sessions, you will feel fitter and more confident about the routines.  The classes are full of supportive dancers, all there to have fun!
